Below you can find answers to some of the most Frequently Asked Questions about COVID-19 testing at the European Parliament.

What is the EcoCare COVID-19 test facility at the European Parliament?

The European Parliament is offering COVID-19 PCR tests to all employees and Members of the European Parliament. The EcoCare COVID-19 test centre provides both a drive-through and a walk-in option for testing.

The test centre is located at the entrance to the BRANDT car park. It is mainly a walk-through facility and can be accessed on foot via the Esplanade and the stairs next to the Parlamentarium. It can also be reached via the Rue de Trèves sidewalk. An alternative drive-through lane is also available (entrance via the SPINELLI parking, one-way only).

The EcoCare COVID-19 test centre is also accessible from the SPINELLI car park. If you wish to conduct a drive-through test from the comfort of your vehicle, follow Level -3 to the North Parking lot: Direction Montoyer.

Testing will be available to Members of the European Parliament and staff members (including accredited parliamentary assistants and staff from political groups, and by extension to trainees and freelance staff). You will need your EP email address to get registered for an appointment and you will need to bring your badge at the day of the test.

The test is free of charge for Members of the European Parliament and staff members (including accredited parliamentary assistants and staff from political groups, and by extension to trainees and freelance staff).

Those eligible for COVID-19 PCR tests at the European Parliament can make an appointment and register here on this page.

People who have symptoms such as fever, cough or a sore throat are not allowed to enter the test centre. In such a case, do not come to the office and contact the Medical Service immediately if you are a Member. Staff members should contact their general practitioner immediately

The European Parliament COVID-19 test centre is open every working day from 9 am to 5 pm.

Your COVID-19 test results will be sent to you electronically via email. In addition, you will receive a Code via SMS to open your test result, which offers extra data privacy and security. We kindly ask you to ensure that the e-mail address and mobile phone number that you provide are correct as any error can lead to not receiving the results.

Results will be available within 24 to 36 hours after your sample has been taken (in > 99% of all cases). Kindly note that in the event of a positive test result, the respective health authorities will be informed as per Belgian legislation.
